Segment
A segment is a piece of writing that may eventually become part of a longer piece.
The longer piece might be a short story, or might be a delivery, or might be a composition, or in some distant time be a book.
The purpose of a segment being here in the flow of story is to remind ourselves how seeds can grow, in the flow.

Being the Second Entry in the Uninvited History of My Writings, following on from Entry One. Makes sense to me, I hope for you too.
In entry one I set up the structure for these entries, as "length to be +/- 250 words, white-spaced into +/- 5 paragraphs". I recounted a long-lost story of a guy deciding to start in the middle. Last evening I found the original of that story, and some of the details of the original are not really in the recounted version and vice versa. And I published entry one to one of my writer's websites [This Site]. So we are primed to begin. In the middle.
But where is the Middle?
I settle on 1991. That was the year Cyber Arrived and my whole experience of being a writer went into HyperDrive. I found that I could write, and people on the other side of the planet (i.e USA) could read the writing almost immediately. I was sold on it. We will come back to that.
And at some point in these entries let's move backward to the story I wrote in 1965 that won me best Grade 6 student of the year award. I will need to entirely recreate that story. There is no remnant of it even in my memories. Although we start in the middle we do need a beginning. And we might suppose, an ending.
