Story Flow is where 2 writers come to write and deliver.
We do not come here to refute each other, rather to support each other in our own innate flow.
The Writers are John (JDSaward), and Isaac (I_Nakone)
We experiment with form, voice and presentation.
We don't know what genre we belong in. We might call it Soul Genre.
All writers touch the personal and collective unconscious.
We are deliberately accentuating that flow, surfacing our prose up out of the symbolic realms of mind.
We write individually, and sometimes write compositions together.
We can think of that collaboration in the same way that musicians might jam together for the creative pleasure of that.
In surfacing our stories from personal and collective unconscious we come in touch with what is deep inside ourselves. And thus further writing comes into flow.
We may have works underway privately that will enter one of the current publication machines, and thus are not presented here. This is where we deliver some of our experimental, and perhaps core, literary offerings.
So long as I have a brain, ability to surface the unconscious in me, and a keyboard, or even a pen, I keep writing.
Any subsidiary targets along the way like getting income from my writings, or readers, are just flimsy cutout placeholder targets, and hitting them or not, the writing goes on. Has been for many years.
My ancestors write with me, delivering their unfinished visions. They all died before me, and thus I am a conduit for their stories.
I operate from my rational mind when required. Writing though, goes further, and deeper.
Every day I am working on multiple projects across writing and I.T. I have a B.Sc. in Computer Science, and earn my living building Websites. And that allows me to experiment with writing however I want to.
I am not putting myself out to market as a writer.
I was born in Melbourne, traveled a lot, lived many places. I now live in an old house in the hills outside Melbourne, with my wife. I have no further plans to travel.
Even at the outset of writing this short bio, I hesitate.
Everything I do is a fearful stop-start. Starting my authorial adventure roughly five years ago was like turning a sphere inside out.
An escape room of sorts, the “starting point” of every writer’s journey is a place where only the echoes of other writers can be heard. A long trek through the sludgy muck of replicant writing leads secondly to the confusion of maximalism and thirdly to the quiet clarity of minimalism.
The fourth stage, a purely unique voice begins to sound across a once silent desert.
It is a lifetime of work to truly define one’s instrument, to carve it, to mould it, then to get sustenance from it. Like stages of grief, the writer is always cycling through them, and never really gets over it all.
As an inconsistent idealist, I hope to create reveries, stop-start-poetry and expressive movements with my words that harness the full potential latent in the world.
